She has also written her own book ‘Loved Clothes Last’. Orsola has been in the industry for over 20 years since founding upcycling brand ‘From Somewhere’ in 1997.
- The last item you would give away and why?
Oooooooo I can’t answer that! My family and I do Christmas shedding instead of Christmas shopping, so each year I give away precious things, but there are way too many pieces in my wardrobe that I wouldn’t give up. In fact, I like how ancient civilisations often buried their loved ones surrounded by useful, or favourite, objects: I would definitely like to be buried draped in all my favourite pieces.

The World.

wool, merino possibly, on the skin (or silk jersey).

When We Were Bad by Charlotte Mendelson.
- What is the soundtrack to your life?
my husband’s record player.

“Trust the void”
My second husband’s first serious girlfriend gave me this nugget and it’s been in me ever since.

- If you had the power to change anything you wanted in the world what would it be?
That we would start our culture all over again and ban the patriarchy, or any thoughts around us not being anything but equal amongst each other as people.
