We Are Kin believe in sustainable and responsible practices, achieved by working with digital design platforms, end-of-line fabrics, sustainable fabrics, digital garments in place of samples, and a local factory in London.
Ngoni is also a fantastic host for Last Yarn’s event due to her in-depth knowledge of deadstock and digital design.
- First fashion item you bought and still have?
Wow, the hard question, probably a silk-faille DKNY skirt with an applique that doesn’t fit, but I love it. But a purchase I dreamed about as a young girl definitely my Tabi boots.
- Favourite place in the world?
Mexico – tacos and tequila what is not to love…

Silk because I can doo so much with it. And both

I wish I’d learned more about finances. And what I learned and can’t live without? That everyone has their own battles, it’s not always about you.
- Who would you want to be stuck in a lift with?
My dog 😂 and maybe the CEO of Thames Water to ask why on earth they are ruining waterways.
- If you had the power to change anything you wanted in the world what would it be?
I’d legislate fashion for sure.
- 3 things your friends would say about you?
That I care deeply, that I think I’m funny (some agree, some don’t) and that I’m very encouraging.

Silk satin, wool twill and Linen. I love them all physically or digital they just feel grand on me.
