- The last item you would give away and why?
My fluffy coat from Charlotte Simone via Vinted. I live in it all winter, and it always gets so many compliments! Also, though not a garment, the quilt my mum made me. My mum taught me how to sew and is a true eco-queen. So much of what I do has been influenced by her teachings and values.
- Favourite place in the world?
Anywhere warm! 🙂
- Silk, cotton, or cashmere and why?
Tricky—cashmere, because I love soft comfort, but cotton is so easy to care for and versatile. (Ideally, both second-hand, but definitely ethically produced.)
- Best book ever?
For business: Superfans by Pat Flynn.
For autobiography: Down the Drain by Julia Fox.
For novels: I’m currently really enjoying Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin.
- What is the soundtrack to your life?
I walk so much that it’s probably the sound of my footsteps as I stomp from place to place.
- A quote to change your life?
“Argue for your limitations, and you get to keep them,” from Elizabeth Gilbert’s book Big Magic.
- One thing you wish you’d learned at school, or the one thing you learned in school that you couldn’t live without?
You can do anything if you work hard and practice. I’m not naturally academic, but I got really good grades because I worked hard, and that mindset has carried over into so many aspects of my life, including growing my brand.
- Who would you want to be stuck in a lift with?
My best friend. She’d be stressed and claustrophobic, but we make each other laugh so much that I know it would be a funny (if stressful) experience.
- If you had the power to change anything you wanted in the world, what would it be?
The amount we all care. We need to care more—about people, the planet, and how our actions affect others and the environment. If we did, I believe we could live more harmoniously and sustainably. Also, corporate greed.
- Three things your friends would say about you?
Hard-working, creative, and passionate/intense.
- Your three favourite fabrics:
A bold gingham or check (I know, technically not a fabric), seersucker, and moiré taffeta.
